Le Gourmandin: A Traditional French Bistro in Publika

by EC

As a lover of French cuisine, I was thrilled to visit Le Gourmandin, a French restaurant located in Publika. As I walked through the doors, I was transported to a traditional French bistro, complete with warm lighting and cozy decor. The ambiance was inviting, and I knew I was in for a treat.

The service at Le Gourmandin was above average. The staff was courteous, welcoming, and attentive to our needs. We were seated at a cosy table by the window, and our waiter promptly handed us the menu.

We started our meal with the classic Onion Soup, which was good, but not exceptional. Next, we tried the Salad served with marinated salmon in salt and herbs, which was average in taste and presentation. However, the Escargots cooked with herbs and butter, served with toasted bread, were quite satisfying.

Moving on to the main course, we ordered the Black Angus Tenderloin with Basilic Cream with foie gras. The sauce was nice and complemented the meat well. The Grill duck breast with sweet and sour sauce was also good, cooked to perfection, and the sauce was not too overpowering.

Lastly, we indulged in the Fondant Au Chocolate, which was a delightfully rich and decadent dessert that was the perfect end to our meal.

Overall, my experience at Le Gourmandin was above average, and I would definitely come back to try more of their menu. While some dishes were not outstanding, the main courses and dessert more than made up for it. If you’re a fan of traditional French cuisine, Le Gourmandin is worth a visit.
