Kay’s Steak & Lobster is a restaurant located in a Liberty Arc, Ampang, that has a modern and trendy atmosphere. The staff are friendly and provide good service to customer.
I was greeted by the friendly and well-trained staff members, who showed me to my seat. As I looked over the menu, I decided to start with the Summer Kale with Grilled Chicken, which sounded healthy and refreshing. The kale was fresh and crisp, paired perfectly with the pomegranate, orange, and cashews. The vinaigrette added a tangy kick that made the dish even more enjoyable.
For my main course, I ordered the Surf & Turf Combo, which included a half Boston lobster in the Thermidor style, a ribeye steak, green salad, and fries. While the steak was cooked to perfection and had a juicy texture that melted in my mouth, the lobster was a bit tasteless, leaving me feeling disappointed. The green salad and fries were tasty and complemented the dish well.
To round off my meal, I ordered a side of Sweet Potato Fries with Salt Egg Dip, which tasted delicious and provided a unique and flavourful twist on traditional fries.
Overall, my experience at Kay’s Steak & Lobster was average. While the restaurant’s modern ambiance and good service were impressive, the lobster didn’t quite live up to my expectations. The prices were a bit steep and the portions were a bit small, which left me feeling a bit disappointed.
