If you’re looking for a steakhouse that offers an unparalleled dining experience, Vantador, the Dry Aged Steak Boutique, is a must-visit. The restaurant’s design perfectly captures the rustic charm and nature of a steakhouse while also elevating the overall dining experience.

The custom-made grill and service counter are covered in copper plates.

To start, we were served a warm and fresh basket of bread, accompanied by a generous dollop of creamy garlic butter, which whetted our appetites.

We then tried the mixed salad with ice cream, a surprising combination that worked surprisingly well together. The salad features a blend of baby lettuce, frisée, crisp watercress, and yuzu vinaigrette, topped with juicy blueberries and tart pomegranate seeds that add a pop of sweetness to the dish.

Charred orange segments provide a smoky flavour, while crunchy walnuts provide a nice texture contrast. The star of the salad is undoubtedly the unique blue cheese ice cream, which has a creamy and savoury flavour that pairs perfectly with the other ingredients, creating a harmonious and refreshing salad that is both satisfying and unexpected.

For the main course, we went straight for the Full Blood Angus Striploin, which was aged to perfection and expertly grilled to our preferred level of doneness.

The steak was incredibly tender and bursting with a deep, beefy flavour, showcasing the quality of the meat and the mastery of the chefs.

To enhance the flavours of our steak, we opted for the sauce tasting platter, featuring a variety of five delicious sauces. Chimichurri, a classic Argentinean sauce made with fresh herbs, garlic, and olive oil, was one of the standout sauces, adding zesty and herbaceous notes to the dish.

The smoky and rich smoke paprika cream fraiche was another standout, providing a perfect pairing to the savoury flavours of the steak.

Other sauces included beef jus, peppercorn jus, and truffle braise, providing a delightful range of flavours and textures.

Overall, dining at Vanadzor was an unforgettable experience. The unique combination of flavours, expertly cooked steak, and beautiful ambiance made it the perfect destination for steak lovers.
